SUSTAINABILITY

In 2011 Bootwerk made the transition from natural gas to electricity. Our company is heated with heat pumps using 16°C spring water from our own well at 70 meters depth. The same system can be used for cooling our building down in summer times. We installed 141.450 KWh solar power to provide our total annual power usage. Power overflow is delivered back to the power grid as green energy. Besides sustainability, this heating and cooling system provides a whole-year-around steady internal climate which is, together with humidifiers, mandatory for a high-end furniture workshop. With proximity switches and LED lighting we try to avoid energy waste as much as possible.
